Zach Thomas
Our keynote speaker is Zach Thomas, part of the newest Pro Football Hall of Fame class inducted this August in Canton, Ohio. Considered one of the greatest Miami Dolphins of all time, Thomas was selected to the team’s Ring of Honor in 2012. The seven-time Pro Bowler was also a first-team All-Pro five times. With over 1,700 career tackles, Thomas is the Dolphin's all-time leading tackler and ranks sixth in NFL history. In Miami, he became a fan favorite for his hustle and journey from fifth-round pick to NFL star. Thomas was an impact player right off the bat, earning AFC Defensive Rookie of the Year honors in 1996. At Texas Tech, he was a two-time All-American and a unanimous selection his senior year. Thomas was also the Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 1995. He and his brother Bart were both named to the first team All-SWC team in the same season. The College Football Hall of Fame inducted Thomas in 2015.
