Patrick murphy
CIO of Coastal Construction
Congressman Patrick Erin Murphy is the Chief Investment Officer at Coastal Construction, where he leads innovation and growth initiatives, including cutting-edge technologies like Togal.AI and CodeComply.AI, which leverage artificial intelligence to revolutionize building processes and safety compliance. He also supports the expansion of RENCO, a new composite building system. Patrick began his career in construction as a day laborer and advanced through roles in project engineering, estimating, and accounting. A CPA and University of Miami graduate, he previously worked at Deloitte before entering public service.
From 2013 to 2017, Patrick represented Florida’s Palm Beach and Treasure Coast in the U.S. House of Representatives and was the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in 2016. After leaving office, he became chair of the Future Forum Foundation and toured the country to engage students on political reform, later co-authoring the book A Divided Union. In 2023, he was appointed to the President’s Export Council by President Joe Biden, where he advises on trade and job creation—proudly serving as the only construction industry representative.

His deep-rooted commitment to community service, combined with his extensive industry experience, makes him a fitting guide for this year’s program.
